Mazda has upgraded its iconoclastic sports car, the RX-8, but not for the US – at least not yet.
The four-door, four-place rotary screamer is receiving a new six-speed automatic in mid-October, and a new six-port rotary (the current North American model has four ports) reportedly improves intake efficiency.
Other incremental changes include a couple of new paint hues (“Stormy Blue Mica” and “Crystal White Pearl Mica”). Additionally, the car is available with a new “Sand Beige Leather Package” on certain models.
No word yet on whether these upgrades will make it to North America.
